ETLO was established in 1995 in Tauranga as an independent, boutique legal solutions provider to add value to people's lives with a focus on negotiated contracts and negotiated solutions to disputes, rather than court proceedings.
Since start up, our client base has grown dramatically and includes a number of significant commodities and service providers, farmers and orchardists. This growth has largely come about via referrals from satisfied clients and through strong networks with local accountants. We find it is particularly useful to work on commercial projects in a collaborative approach with our clients' accountants which results in a more holistic outcome.

Evan Turbott
Evan has been a practising lawyer since the 1970s, graduating in law from the University of Canterbury with Honours.
Evan began his career in Christchurch then worked in a Wall Street law firm followed by three years at Linklaters & Paines in the City of London. On his return to New Zealand, he had many years as a Partner at Hesketh Henry in Auckland before moving to Tauranga and establishing his current practice.
Once a marathon runner, Evan enjoys day hiking and exploring New Zealand's great walks. He is actively involved in community groups and initiatives and his large client base has grown by referrals.
