Evan Turbott is a Notary Public.  A Notary Public authenticates signatures in New Zealand for use overseas e.g.
  • if you are a US citizen resident in New Zealand but continuing to do business in the US (or wanting to sell your real estate in the States) you either need to be present in the US or come and sign documents before a Notary Public.
  • if you are UK citizen involved in litigation in the United Kingdom, but holidaying in New Zealand and there is an affidavit to be sworn, you either return to the UK to have it sworn or see a Notary Public in New Zealand.
  • if you are a Master of shipping vessel which loses a container overboard in the Tasman and your first port of call is Tauranga, you must see a Notary Public to sign off the necessary insurance reports.

Do I have to make an appointment?

Yes. Please contact us to arrange a time:  Our office hours are 8.30am to 5pm, but often we can be available outside those times.

What proof do I need to bring of my identity?

We require a current passport but please contact us to discuss alternative options should a passport not be available.
